Patrick Shannon, also known as Nang Ḵ‘uulas is an award-winning Indigenous film director, social entrepreneur, and photographer from Haida Gwaii, Canada.

Patrick’s work centres around social and cultural justice, and the elevation of marginalized voices through education, youth mentorship, media, and technology.

Patrick runs InnoNative, a film production company that focuses on creating documentaries, music videos, and scripted narratives from an Indigenous perspective

Co-founded by Patrick, Supernaturals Modelling is the world’s first all-Indigenous modelling agency that aims to address issues of racism and tokenism within the media and fashion industries

Haida Gwaii Media Collective

Co-founded by Patrick, the Haida Gwaii Media Collective is a media training and production initiative for residents of Haida Gwaii to gain the resources, skills and experience in digital storytelling

Patrick has spent the past 15 years as a professional photographer, bringing his passion for portraiture and fashion to the artistic, music, and Indigenous scenes in Canada and around the world.
