Carsen Gray is a fantastic Indigenous pop artist from Haida Gwaii that’s usually busy putting out club bangers, but this time she dug deep to create something stunningly beautiful to honour her family, culture, and the land that she calls home.
“Sah ‘Laana” is a Haida word that means “creator”, and throughout the song she is thanking the creator for everything that she has with the word “Haawa”.
