Carsen Gray - Sah 'Laana

Carsen Gray is a fantastic Indigenous pop artist from Haida Gwaii that’s usually busy putting out club bangers, but this time decided to create something that honoured her family, culture and the land that she calls home.

“Sah ‘Laana” is a Haida word that means “creator”, and throughout the song she is thanking the creator for everything that she has with the word “Haawa”.

This video was funded by TakingITGlobal and #RisingYouth, with additional camera work by Elim Sly-Hooton.
